Kiva.org is an amazing website that enables you to "loan" funds of $25 or more to people in all different parts of the world who are trying to start up businesses or keep current businesses going. Often these businesses are the extent of their livelihood. The program is very unique in that you can choose who you wish to fund, watch how much of the loan request they've received and how much they pay back over time.
